The questions we get asked most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call the studio — we would rather talk than have you guess.

Questions

Is Alloy a gym?

No. Alloy is a personal training studio, not a gym. There is no equipment floor to wander around and no crowds — you train on a program built for you, with a certified coach on the floor for the whole session.

How much does personal training cost?

Sessions run $35–$60 each, depending on the membership option you choose. That is a per-session rate: training three or more times a week reaches the $35 end, while once or twice a week sits nearer $60. Your first visit is complimentary, so you can see the studio and talk to a coach before deciding anything.

What happens at my first visit?

Your first visit is a Starting Point Session. It is complimentary, takes about an hour, and includes a professional mobility screen, an InBody body composition scan and a custom demo workout — so you experience how we coach and we learn how you move before anything is written.

How many people are in a session?

A maximum of six. That cap is the whole point — it is what lets a coach watch and correct every person in the room.

How long is a session?

Sessions are 60 minutes.

Do I need to be fit already, or have training experience?

No. It does not matter whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced athlete — every program starts from your own assessment, and everyone in a session can be working at a different level.

Do you train beginners and older adults?

Yes. Our coaches are ACE-certified (American Council on Exercise) in functional training and injury prevention, and sessions are adapted to the person, which is why the studio works for people returning to training after a long gap. Both studios have a step-free entrance and an accessible restroom.

Where are your studios?

We have two: Alloy Lakeline at 10900 Lakeline Mall Dr #600, Austin, TX 78717, and Alloy Teravista at 2960 FM-1460, Suite 103, Georgetown, TX 78626.

What are your hours?

Sessions run Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays. Every session is by appointment, so the studio is open for scheduled sessions rather than for drop-in use — book ahead and a coach will be expecting you.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

Yes. Members manage their own bookings and can reschedule or cancel online. Cancel a session at least 24 hours ahead and you keep it as a make-up. Cancelling your membership is a separate thing: call, text or email us 30 days in advance.

Is there parking at the studio?

There is free parking at both studios — a shared surface lot, no permit and no validation needed. Park anywhere. That is the same at both Alloy Lakeline and Alloy Teravista.

What should I wear and bring?

Workout clothes, training shoes and your own water bottle. That is all — the floor is already equipped and your coach already has your program.

Do you have restrooms, lockers or showers?

Restrooms, a water station for refills, and lockers or cubbies for your belongings. There are no showers. Most members come dressed to train and head straight out afterwards.

Do you offer childcare?

We do not offer supervised childcare. Children are welcome to wait in the lobby area while you train.

What equipment do you have?

Racks and barbells, a full dumbbell range, kettlebells, TRXs, resistance bands, stability balls, weighted balls, a tank for pushing and pulling, air bikes, a skier and ropes. Both studios are equipped the same way.

Is the studio accessible?

The entrance is step-free and there is an accessible restroom. The entrance faces the parking lot, with clearly visible signage. Parking is a shared surface lot at both studios.

How will I know I am making progress?

Your coach adjusts the work every session — load, reps, which progression you are on — based on what they see on the floor that day. On top of that there is a monthly progress re-assessment. Most people start at twice a week, and your first InBody re-scan lands at the 30-day mark, so you can see the change in the numbers instead of guessing at it.

How long have the studios been open?

Alloy has been coaching adults since 1992. Our Lakeline and Teravista studios opened in 2025.

Am I locked into a contract?

Memberships are month-to-month, or you can choose a 6- or 12-month term at a better rate. We will walk you through the options at your Starting Point Session rather than over the phone.

How do I cancel my membership?

Cancelling your membership is a separate thing: call, text or email us 30 days in advance. Note that this is different from cancelling a single session, which needs 24 hours’ notice — the 30 days applies to ending the membership itself.

How do I get started?

Book a Starting Point Session. We will have a short, no-pressure conversation about your background and goals first, then set up your first studio visit.
